I didn't think people were reading LJ/DW anymore so I stopped posting but something really important has happened that I need to talk about.

Another Kindle store ebook. The Epic Love Story of Doug and Stephen. It’s 99 cents but if you want a Word doc of it for free just let me know. If you could recommend it, review it, spread the link, I'd appreciate it.

I have an ebook in the Kindle store. Just in time for Passover, a bastardization of Passover! The Blood of the Lamb. It’s 99 cents but if you want a Word doc of it for free just let me know. And yes, that is me almost naked eleven years ago on the cover. If you could recommend it, review it, spread the link, I'd appreciate it.
The "Ground Zero Mosque" is two blocks from Ground Zero. When you're discussing that type of New York real estate, two blocks is pretty damn far. There could be twelve buildings and thousands of people between Ground Zero and the "mosque".

I realize this is hard to comprehend for ignorant conservatives who look out the window of their tacky McMansions in the culdesac and see nothing for blocks but other tacky McMansions filled with other ignorant conservatives. So let me put this in terms you can understand. A "mosque" two blocks from Ground Zero is like how you have a Wal-Mart twenty miles away from the Super Wal-Mart.

Also, the "mosque" is actually a one hundred million dollar community center that will have tons of shit, including sports facilities and a theater. But (gasp) built by Muslims! Want to dismantle all community centers sponsored by religious groups? Let's start with the Young Men's Christian Association. The mission statement of the YMCA is to promote Christianity.

Finally, to me, Ground Zero is not a symbol of brave Americans dying to protect their freedom. Ground Zero is a symbol of my federal government fucking up intelligence and how my state government fucked up so bad that they couldn't build a bus stop in ten fucking years.

You turn this into an argument about religion, and all the innocent Americans and brave soldiers died so we could be a more racist country.

Today I watched the first half of John Roecker's Everything You Wanted to Know About Gay Porn Stars and it was brilliant, so I'd like to link you to other reasons why you should like John Roecker.

Does anyone know how to transfer iTunes from one computer to another and NOT lose the playlists? I've done it a few different ways but I always lose the playlists.

Here's what I'm watching right now, though about half of them are done until the fall. Also I don't have cable, so I'm watching everything online.

In Plain Sight (A good female character? Am I hallucinating?)
Community (So funny.)
The Office
Glee (Don't judge me!)
House (WTF was that season finale? I might not watch this in the fall.)
Burn Notice
South Park
The Closer (I thought the new season would be online by now, so it's possible they're not putting it online.)

I'd rather not try to get into a show that's already like five seasons in, and I don't feel like doing any DVD marathoning, but still - Am I missing anything good?

They reprinted Teleny! This is 19th century anonymous gay porn ascribed to Oscar Wilde, though the end is written so badly I theorize Lord Alfred Douglas took over. This is a great moment in the history of those who told people their bad writing was good just so they could get in their pants. See also: Valerie.

So no-period birth control is almost exactly the same as traditional birth control, has the same risks, COULD have existed SIXTY years ago, and yet still lists a "potential risk" as "many women welcome their monthly period as it provides reassurance about their continued fertility and femininity". Because nothing makes a girl feel more feminine than painful hemorrhaging from her crotch so she can prove to the world that she can make babies as that is likely her primary life goal. I call misogyny on this WHOLE FUCKING PLANET.

Possible computers I could buy:

Toshiba Satellite M500-ST6444 $719

Asus K50I-RBBGR05 $450

MSI Wind U100-451US Netbook $450

Dell Studio 15 $679

And now they all look the same to me. Help?

I'm three episodes behind on House. Is it even worth watching anymore? "Lockdown" was such total crap. I'd say a monkey could've written it but I have too much respect for monkeys.

Off work with no direction, I haven't slept properly in two days, and all my boys have shown that, while useful, they are less fun than my dog, who has died. Wake me up if a new Transplants album is released. Otherwise, I quit this whole stupid planet.

Abby had a seizure at the vet where Mike was going to kennel her until I could take her to the sanctuary next week. The vet suspects brain damage and it's too risky to kennel her. So Mike's having her put to sleep.

You know, the day after we decided to get divorced I was on Craigslist trolling for dick. But I will never love anyone like Abby.

A dog rescue place in Maine will take Abby. So she will be okay. I'm so happy!

Does anyone have an H2O I could have? I'm going to see them soon and will gladly buy their albums from them directly, but I don't like iTunes.
